Prof. Dr. Waleed Mohamed Afify
Professor Dr. Waleed Mohamed Afify Mohamed is a Professor of Mathematical Statistics at the Faculty of Commerce, Kafrelsheikh University, and the Dean of the Faculty. He possesses distinguished academic and administrative expertise in the fields of applied statistics, mathematics, and insurance.
He has held numerous leadership positions, including Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, prior to his appointment as Dean of the Faculty by presidential decree.
He obtained his Master’s degree in 2003 and his PhD in 2007 in Mathematical Statistics from the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Statistical Research at Cairo University. He progressed through academic ranks until attaining the rank of Professor in 2018.
Through his work, he seeks to develop university education and scientific research, and to enhance the use of statistical analysis in supporting decision-making and community service, with a focus on preparing qualified cadres capable of competition and innovation.

The Faculty of Commerce at Kafr El-Sheikh University, under the supervision of Dr. Waleed Mohamed Afify, Dean of the Faculty, succeeded in achieving an unprecedented accomplishment that is recorded for the first time in its history, represented in a record speed in announcing the results of the four groups (Arabic and English), in addition to the results of professional postgraduate studies, which reflects the spirit of discipline, institutional work and integration between all academic and administrative sectors of the Faculty.
