Opening of the Digital Stock Exchange Simulation Center

Inauguration of the Digital Stock Exchange Simulation Center at the Faculty of Commerce, Kafr El-Sheikh University

Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel Moaty, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, Dr. Ahmed El-Sheikh, Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange, and Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of the University, inaugurated today, Thursday, the Digital Stock Exchange and Financial Technology Simulation Center at the Faculty of Commerce.

The inauguration was attended by a high-level delegation including Dr. Amr El-Beshbishy, Deputy Governor, Dr. Amani Shaker, Vice President of the University, Dr. Walid Afifi, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Eng. Hatem Abdel Ghafar, Chairman of the Kafr El-Sheikh Chamber of Commerce, in addition to a group of investors and entrepreneurs in the economic sector.

This pioneering project comes as part of the fruitful cooperation between Kafr El-Sheikh University and the Egyptian Exchange, embodying joint efforts to prepare a promising generation of students specialized in investment and the digital economy. The inauguration also reflects both parties’ commitment to supporting Egypt’s ambitious vision toward digital transformation and financial inclusion, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

For his part, the Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh emphasized during the ceremony that this center represents a significant qualitative leap in the financial and economic education system within the governorate, noting that it clearly reflects the national direction toward linking educational outcomes with the evolving demands of the labor market.

He explained that the center will play an effective role in training students on stock trading mechanisms within the Egyptian Exchange and equipping them with essential practical skills that enhance their competitiveness in both local and international job markets.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sheikh, Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange, praised this outstanding initiative, affirming the Exchange’s firm commitment to supporting educational institutions in their efforts to promote financial literacy among youth.

He pointed out that advanced simulation centers like this one provide students with a unique opportunity to experience a realistic investment environment, helping them build the ability to make well-informed financial decisions in the future.

In turn, Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of the University, stated that this advanced center will represent a valuable addition to the university’s educational environment and will be integrated into the training programs available to students. Dr. Walid Afifi, Dean of the Faculty, stated that this center—made possible through fruitful cooperation with the Egyptian Exchange and the unlimited support of the university administration—represents a true value-added to the faculty’s academic journey and a vital resource in preparing a knowledgeable and qualified generation of graduates capable of understanding the dynamics of modern financial markets and their advanced technologies.
